Christmas in July Anyone ?

I will be moving house in the near future.

It is an unexpected move and I'm not even sure where I'm going just yet, but I have started the dreaded 'clean up' process that you do right before moving from one house to another. You know, the one where you walk through the house shifting things into piles - Keep; Bin; Charity. It's like a detox.

It is truly amazing how much 'stuff' you accumulate. And how many items that get lost in the back of cupboards because you've kept them 'just in case' you might need them one day.

I am guilty of keeping things like half used bottles of moisturiser and shampoo. I went through the spare bathroom cupboard and found vitamins that expired 2 years ago.

I haven't been tackling the Clean-Up task in any particular order. There is no logical process. I've not started in one room and worked my way through the house.

But today, I was in the kitchen. Actually, my mum did quite well out of my clean-up today because instead of making a 'Charity' pile, I put a lot of items aside and took them to her.

There is one thing I haven't moved yet. It's a Christmas dinner set for 8 people that I used once. It was a 21st gift and I love it, but I just don't think I will have a need for it in my near future. I would like to find a good home for it.

The dinner set is Maxwell and Williams 12 Days of Christmas.
It's a deleted line now, but after a quick search with my friend Google, I've found that you can still buy accessories with this pattern - Look HERE

Maxwell & Williams Christmas Dinner Set
8x Dinner Plates, 8x Side Plates, 8x Soup Bowls, 8x Tea cups and saucers, 8x Coffee Mugs
1x Oval Platter, 1x Divided Platter, 2x Rectangle Platters, 1x Dip Bowl & Knife

The 12 Days of Christmas pattern includes 4 different images :
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.

I know April is a little early to start thinking about Christmas. Especially as most of us are probably still filling up on Easter Eggs and Hot-Cross Buns.. But I don't have the space to take this beautiful set with me.

Please leave me a comment if you or someone you know would like to take this set into your home.

xx

  1. Hi Andie - you were asking about my domes on my table - sorry I couldn't find an email for you so I am responding here - my small one I have had for a while and got it in a variety store last year. The large one is from French Country which is a giftware wholesaler. I am going to be opening an online store in the next few weeks and I am looking at stocking some domes - keep an eye out for more info on the blog. Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Leanne xx

  2. Hi,
This could be too late as this was posted in April but my mum has been after this dinner set for awhile as we have 9 through 12 and she of course now wants 1 through 8 to complete it!

If you still have the one of the 16 piece dinner sets and would like to sell it please email me at samantha_willoughby89@hotmail.com with an indication of how much you are after and also where in Aus you are =)

    Thanks
    Sam
